Unified Risk Classifier
Standardizing Risk Codes
As we move into the blockchain, we need to keep models within the blockchain, and as such, we need to ensure a uniform property risk rating classification system.
The current proposal is for a 4 character classifier that loosely groups 4 major risks from high to low.
This classifier is used by the Underwriting Pool Oracles to determine the appropriate level of risk
A 4 character code to represent the impact of natural events
WLIE
where
W - Windstorm
1 - high windstorm
9 - low windstorm
L - Flood
A - high flood
F - low flood
I - Fire
1 - high flood
9 - low flood
E - Earthquake
A - high earthquake
F - low earthquake
ie
1A9F - on the ocean below FEMA NFIP, low fire, low earthquake (Florida coast)
9E1F - low windstorm (inland) and above NFIP, high fire, low earthquake (mountain house in forest)
this will follow the FEMA designation - since already done
